Eric "RicStar" Winter Music Therapy Camp June 12-14

A day camp that provides opportunities for musical expression, enjoyment, and interaction for all persons with special needs (and their siblings). Overnight accomodations are available for all campers and their families. MSU Community Music School Children's Choir Camp June 16-20

A day camp for elementary and middle school students, ages 8-14. No previous choir experience is necessary. No audition is required. Choir camp provides students an opportunity to perform with other talented students from the local area. Students spend the hours in concentrated study and rehearsal, culminating in a concert for parents and friends on Friday afternoon.

MSU Community Music School Summer Jazz Camp June 16 - 20
Thiscamp is a day camp for middle and high school students who have someplaying experience. The program will focus on jazz styles andlistening, which will expose the participants to the many arrangementsand composition styles used in jazz. The students will learn appliedtheory, sight-reading, and improvisation. All classes will take placeat the MSU Community Music School at 841 Timberlane in East Lansing.

MSU Community Music School Spartan Choral Camp June 22-27

Spartan Choral Camp is designed for any singer who will complete grades 9-12 in the spring of 2008. This overnight camp focuses on the rehearsal and performance of outstanding choral literature. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in vocal master classes and introductory classes in conducting, music history and music theory.

MSU Community Music School Middle School Band Camp July 7-11

Aday camp for middle school students who have played a band instrumentfor at least one year. The five-day camp meets on campus at the MSUCollege of Music, culminating in a final concert at the Wharton Centeron Friday. MSU Community Music School Michigan Summer Chamber Music Camp July 28-August 2


The Michigan Summer Chamber Music Camp is a day camp for intermediate to advanced violinists, violists, cellists and pianists. This six-day camp meets at the MSU Community Music School at 841 Timberlane in East Lansing. The camp provides students an opportunity to perform with other talented students from the local area, learn new rehearsal techniques and get tips to make practice more productive and enjoyable. Students receive daily master-classes, rehearsals and coachings. Their time spent rehearsing culminates in a concert for parents and friends on Saturday afternoon.
